As we know Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. As part of the celebration, people eat a lot without thinking about the implications on their health. Whatever the occasion, there should be some strategies in place to enjoy it in a healthy manner. The following are some steps for a healthy Christmas:
Appreciate the fact that you are healthy and alive to celebrate Christmas by thanking Almighty God for His goodness for sending His lovely son Jesus Christ Of Nazareth to save us.
Plan ahead for your health if you will be visiting friends and families. For instance, if you have a party to attend in the evening, make sure to exercise in the morning and eat something light for breakfast. Example of light breakfast include smoothie made with 200mls of semi-skimmed milk with two fruits of your choice or you can have a bowl of vegetable salad with one boiled egg. Remember to drink lots of water throughout the afternoon.
At the party, control your food and drink portions. For example, opt for half glass of juices instead of full glasses and also go for red wines. Use small plates to serve yourself to avoid putting too much food on the plate. Whiles eating, take your time and chew well for easy digestion.
Remember to dance hard at the party. This will help you to burn some calories because if you don’t burn some calories, all the excess calories will be stored as fat. After all what is a party without a dance. Dance hard!!
